The Thieme Family
Dr. Thieme graduated from Brigham Young University in 1991, and completed optometry school at the University of California, Berkeley in 1994.
He opened Meridian Family Eyecare in 1995, and moved the practice to the new building in 2009.
Dr. Thieme lives in Meridian with his wife, Iris and their children. Two are still at home while the other four are grown up now.
The family enjoys boating, fishing, hiking and all outdoor activities.
Dr. Thieme enjoys all aspects of eye care including basic eye health exams for glasses and contact lenses, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and surgical care of cataract and LASIK patients.
Dr. Josh McAdams joined Meridian Family Eye Care after being in practice for 5 years in the White Mountains of Arizona.
- He earned his Microbiology degree from Brigham Young University in 2006.
- He took a two year academic break to train and compete in the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics, and then finished optometry school in 2012 at Southern College Of Optometry.
- He completed a rotation in neuro-optometry and ocular disease and manages an array of conditions from diabetic retinopathy to macular degeneration.
He loves fitting contact lenses, especially on those who never thought they could wear them!
He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Idaho Optometric Physicians. Josh and his wife, Whitney, have four adorable children. They are both avid runners, eaters, and chasers of their active kids.
